1965 Volkswagen Bus Rat Rod with Porsche Brakes in Toronto, ON

Selling my 1965 vw bus to clear space for new toys. Have owned it 3yrs and purchased it locally. It's a rat rod so it's supposed to look pre-owned but is actually quite solid and a real head turner. Had Creative Engineering Safari windows installed this past summer, best quality safari on the market and installed properly with a bar behind the sheet metal. Pre-owned to be a camper but interior is removed and now has a rear bench seat. Front seat has been reupholstered. Is originally from Alberta and has unique feature of two spare tire holders, 1 behind the seat and 1 in the back. All rust issues have been patched and it should not be a problem to certify. Has a rebuilt 1600DP with less than 3000 kilometers since rebuild. Many new parts. 12 VOLT conversion with alternator. Has a custom beam, 4.0" narrowed (3/8" sideplates) with OEM needle bearings and inner micarta bushings, with three degrees more caster for high speed stability. Laid back upper shock mount. 5" wagenswest non-flipped spindles. 944 Porsche front disk brakes. IRS rear conversion with 944 disk brakes (complete 944 rear trailing arm). 100mm stub axles in the IRS arms. Modified bug axles with 100mm joint outboard and 90mm joint at tranny. All new metal and rubber brake lines. Rotors and pads in decent shape. Rebuilt 944 Master cylinder installed. Rear 944 swaybar. For a breadbox, this thing handles and brakes very well. All new tie-rod and ends (spring 09) and the steeringbox was recently rebuilt (summer 08). New ebrake cables. All suspension and brake work done by VDub engineering. 4.12 IRS tranny, clean double side cover transmission with newer shift coupler and bushings in tunnel. New engine cradle, all new mounts, new pressure plate (1700 lb )/clutch. New clutch cable. Has 16x6 OEM Porsche Boxter wheels with decent rubber. KYB Shocks all around. Have left side body panel and pair of solid cargo doors to convert it back to a panel (windowless delivery truck). Would make a great promo vehicle. The bus is a great driver and will travel at highway speeds all day long. I took it on a 1600 km trip this summer and it drove great.
